Summer School for
Sociolinguistics in Switzerland
The Center for the Study of Language and Society (CSLS) organizes a three-day event for doctoral candidates and advanced MA students who work on the intersection between language and society in its many facets. The aim is to bring together a wide range of perspectives, from language variation and change in different communities of practice, to more qualitative approaches on language planning, identity, attitudes, ideology and more. We offer guest lectures, workshops on methods and soft skills, as well as the opportunity for early-career researchers to present their projects (or project ideas) and receive feedback from peers and experts in the field.
